[Superset] is a venture backed platform for personal trainers to grow their business.

We launched Superset v1 in 2020 to help creators sell digital workout programs, and soon began offering launch marketing services after seeing what made the most successful creators stand out. But we quickly realized only a small percentage could build a sustainable business by selling low-ticket products due to reach and engagement limitations.


That insight led us to rebuild Superset as a business-in-a-box for 1:1 coaches to grow their business. We focused on how we could make things simpler so that trainers could work faster in ways that felt most familiar while building Superset v2


Our MVP initially allowed coaches to attach Google Sheet programs to client profiles. That scrappy workaround led to the development of our most notable feature: Superset Sheets, a spreadsheet-to-app generator that let coaches program in a powerful native workflow while clients enjoyed a polished mobile experience to follow and track workouts.


Our bet on simplicity and familiarity, specifically through our spreadsheet-based approach, proved to be the unlock. We sprinted to add functionality while preserving simplicity, which helped us establish Superset as the best platform for independent coaches. Along the way, we discovered that many of our customers were actually operating under the umbrella of a gym.


This insight led us to move upmarket and launch a multiplayer solution that allowed entire organizations to deliver high-quality programming with greater operational efficiency, stronger quality assurance, and an improved client experience. In doing so, we began addressing a new core set of operational needs, including session tracking, scheduling, and membership plans.


With that foundation now in place, we have begun building toward what comes next: an AI agent designed to offload the operational busywork that holds coaching businesses back.
